FIRST Alumni Scholarship


UAA FIRST Alumni Scholarship

Here at the UAA College of Engineering, we recognize the technical and creative skills developed in youth who participate in the FIRST robotics program, and are eager to welcome FIRST alumni into our engineering and computer science programs. 

 

Scholarship Details:

Five $1000 scholarships are available to students who have participated in the FIRST Robotics program for at least one full season during high school and have applied to UAA’s College of Engineering. This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 additional years, if students maintain a GPA of at least 2.5, and remain enrolled as full-time students within the UAA College of Engineering.

Student Eligibility:

  • Entering Engineering students who have participated in at least one full season of FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Robotics Competition
  • Have applied to UAA, designating the College of Engineering
  • Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or equivalent; transfer students must have minimum college GPA of 2.5
  • Minimum ACT Math and composite score of 24 or SAT score (combined Math and Critical Reading only) of 1040
  • Preference given to students who have completed Pre-Calculus or equivalent in high school
